Fiona Carvell PS Eye Catchers for Unison Pastels
Thank you to Stephen Fuller for asking me to chose the Eyecatchers for April from the Unison Colour Facebook Community. Unison Colour pastels are my ‘go to’ pastels of choice – I love their texture and colour range. I was honoured to win the Unison Colour Members Award at The Pastel Society annual exhibition earlier this year, in London.
As a member of the Pastel Society UK and Pastel Society of America, I am always interested in to see what pastel artists are up to online and it has been quite a challenge to whittle my choices down to just 10.
There are many different ways that pastel can be used and I hope my choices reflect this as well as covering a range of subject matters. There were many more pieces that I was impressed with, so please do not feel disheartened if your work is not on the Eyecatchers list this month, I had a lot to choose from and it was not easy!
