Pastel Society Summer Workshops 2017 Sponsored by Derwent

The Pastel Society Summer Workshops held at St George's College Addlestone Surrey, have been very successful. Organised by Sue Relph, the workshops ran from Monday 21st August until Friday the 25th August. Tutors were John Tookey, Caroline Bays, Sue Relph, Antony Williams and Pastel Society President Jeannette Hayes. These are hugely popular events and St Georges College is an excellent venue.

Jenny Halstead PS FMAA

Biographical Details:

After studying Art & Design at Sutton & Cheam School of Art and a guest scholarship to the Royal Academy Schools, Jenny went on to train as a medical artist, illustrating surgery and anatomy. She worked in London Teaching Hospitals, before turning freelance and publication work in both medicine and natural history.

Breaking away from this discipline over a decade ago to return to the freedom of painting and developing her own work as well as teaching.
